Camouflaged Duck is a unique work of art produced as part of the Journal en images project, page . In this painting a mix of cold and warm colors unites in harmony: soft greens for foliage and purple for wildlife marine, a camouflaged duck that blends into this foliage. Both sprung lines and non-figurative organic forms on a background of ocher and earth. This scene of the painting produces a contrast, a duality. First by the earthy bottom of a marsh, its natural habitat, rendered in perspective giving the illusion of a third dimension and contrasting with the shapes of the foreground flattened dynamizes the composition of the painting. In this project, I present a series of about fifty paintings painted in oil or acrylic on canvas of similar size. The starting point of the painting s structure is a very spontaneous, intuitive drawing that is part of the body s memory. From these lines traced in a great freedom, I direct and control the created organic forms and I establish a duality between the two-dimensional and three-dimensional representation by treating the subjects in flat and the backgrounds in perspective. I contrast two pictorial perceptions and two different approaches between drawing and the result of the painting, spontaneity and control the culmination of a cross between figuration and abstraction in contemporary painting.
